Homecoming

Ryan went to homecoming this past weekend. I, of course, took pictures but I might add that my husband took the ones at the girls house. And they are dark and not so good. Just wanted to point out that I cannot be held responsible!! But they looked sweet....cute...handsome.....cool...whatever is the "in" word today.

And, oh the drama! I said in a previous post that dating your 1st girlfriends friend was a big no no when I was in school. And it still is, it seems. So here is the word that I heard......break out the popcorn and kick back. This is almost like a soap opera!

Once upon a time......
Emily and Rachel are 'friends'. ( I say friends loosely for a reason....keep reading)
Ryan went on a 1st date with Emily. She asked him out, I am told.
But Ryan really liked Rachel, who he did not know that she liked him too.
Rachel told Emily, her "friend", that she liked Ryan. So EMILY went behind Rachel's back and asked Ryan on a date before Rachel could! (Oh yeah. It gets better.)
Ryan decides to ask Rachel out when he find out she likes him too. They hit it off.
As previously posted, Ryan tells Emily he likes her as a friend but he wants to ask out Rachel to homecoming.
Ok. Fast forward to homecoming.....
At the homecoming dance, Samantha (Keep up! YES there is another girl in this story! LOL) , who is also 'friends' with Emily, tells Emily she likes a boy at the dance.
Emily goes over and ASKED the boy to dance and to go out on a date.
Seems Emily has issues with boys that her friends like......and the friends are having issues with Emily!
So Rachel (are you keeping up???) gets upset that Samantha is hurt and crying and gives it to Emily. At the dance. In front of everyone.
Of course, Ryan got brought up in all this during the confrontation and seemed to enjoy girls fighting over him! (Men!)
And so Emily is on the poo poo list with her 'friends'.
Lesson learned....you do NOT....I repeat....do NOT....no matter what century it is.....date a boy your friend likes!
Oh the drama of teens......
And lets be honest. It would be no different in the adult world. That is one BIG no-no no matter your age!
