Dollywood

Monday we headed for some fun at Dollywood. Now, assuming you don't know what Dollywood is, it is just a lovely amusement park that has rides, shops, shows and demos set up to see how things are made like baskets and glass, etc. All based around the country singer, Dolly Parton. A lot of her proceeds go towards the people of the mountains and the national park! We actually came here two days but you will only get to see pics of Monday cause the next time we came, it POURED. My camera stayed home that day!

It was a beautiful and sunny day on Monday. And school was in session this week down there, so crowds were small. You could walk around without having to rush and just walk right on rides.

We saw a 50s show which was just cute! Ate at a 50s style diner and danced in the streets! (Mimi has those pics. I will have to post them when she sends those to me! ) Then we walked round the whole right side of the park (knowing we would be back to do the other side another day) and did rides and walked in shops. Just a perfect day!

That night we ate at a local resturant called The Mill with a menu filled with home cookin like meatloaf, pot roast and apple pie. We took our dessert home and played dominos back at the cabin after

We could not have asked for a more perfect day!

On a train ride............

This was the family dryer that you got to stand in after you got SOAKED on the river rage ride! It was more a waste of money cause blue jeans and tees just do not dry just because you put $3.00 in a machine that blows on you for 3 min..........BUT........it was fun anyway to go in and pretend it was actually drying those soaked shorts!! At least you got warm for a few minutes!

Fries, burgers and shakes!!!! YUM!

Tomorrow, come back to see the National Park!! Beautiful!

MAGIQUEST
Well now...I have gotten several requests about more info on Magiquest (I told you it was addicting and you haven't even played it!) so here it is.....

Intro
http://www.magiquest.com/

Locations
http://www.magiquest.com/locations/

And the fun part is you can keep your wand and take it with you to other locations or go back again and again to the same location and it will pick up where you left off! All done on computer.

You can also just borrow a wand, rather than spend the money. BUT it won't keep your information.

So hunt down a place and get addicted too!
