Oh boy! Another storm is heading our way. This one much larger. Everyone is in a panic. The news has been covering it all day even though the actual 1st flake just started about two hours ago. (Aka....that would be about 6pm just in case you are not physic and you have no idea what time my clock is reading)
Last night we headed to Walmart to do our grocery shopping. The lines were down the isles and the shelves bare. If you wanted bread, you better know how to make it from scratch cause there was nothing but crumbs. Add in that the BIG football game is this weekend and it made shopping a challenge. Things that normally would be passed over in a soon to be snow storm like french fries, cheese and pizza where gone too! I guess if you had the basics....bread, milk and chip n dip, then you were totally set for a lock down this weekend!
We are not big on football. But snow munchies were stocked up on cause one cannot battle a blizzard without chocolate bars and cookie dough to keep your strength up! Ok we did buy dinner items too but chocolate bars and cookie dough were a must! Those, oddly, were not scarce. Go figure! But that was ok with us. More cookie dough for the Chapmans!
So the hatches were battened down. Outside toys put away. Sleds places in a spot to be easily found. Shovels and rock salt is waiting by the door and cars are moved to the end of the drive. And the flakes are starting. We await the big blizzard for 2010........... Bring it on baby. I got cookies!
